In Dune: Spice Wars, you can make them your allies or obliterate them so that nobody can use their resources. The Houses of Atreides and Harkonnen are the intruders here and seek to control spice production. The last faction is that of the Smugglers that make use of cunningness and craftiness to come on top. The map in Dune Spice Wars Mac OS X is divided into tiles, a normal occurrence in these types of games. Controlling them allows access to precious resources and unique benefits, like being able to extract water from ice. The sands of Arrakis are nowhere near easy to navigate and it takes technology to do so.
