The protagonist of Death’s Door for Mac is an unnamed crow, the most ordinary employee in an unusual office called the Commission. He is a reaper, a collector of souls. Hard times have come at work, the flow of souls has decreased for some unknown reason, and we are sent on a special mission – to take the soul of a giant. So we meet the first boss, almost easily defeat him and take the soul. Death’s Door Mac OS X is a true gem of holistic design, everything is attractive in it. The visual style emphasizes every detail of the game world, graphics in pastel colors are pleasing to the eye and allows you to see the elaboration of the zones and their landscape.

Characters are a direct part of each location, their appearance matches the environment. This applies to both civilians and enemies. Death’s Door Mac OS X is by far one of the best indie projects in recent years. Manchester-based studio Acid Nerve consists of two people who work with third-party developers. Mark Foster and David Fenn are the authors of this project. They created its very salt, wrote the story, and worked out the visual and auditory style of this action-adventure game for Mac. Devolver Digital has once again shown how important it is for small teams to support a publisher to create a work of art that gets noticed and appreciated.
