What began as a mod inside a great game, became a standalone, incredible game by itself. There are even plans to expand The Forgotten City for Mac in the future with the help of other mods. This great release started as a modification from the community playing Skyrim, back in 2015. The idea behind was so amazing that it went through a complete overhauling. The ancient ruin of Dwemer from the Elder Scrolls V turned into the more known ancient Rome. The story itself expanded to contain more than double the initial words and multiple endings. This complex undertaking is nothing close to a miracle in gaming terms. Especially when you consider the foundation, a great idea that explores moral issues and the human mind. The Forgotten City Mac OS X mercilessly throws you inside a grand mystery as soon as you start the game.
Once inside the ruins, everything changes and you soon find out you are in a time loop like no other. You get to explore the Roman Empire, restored to its former glory where Gods are still running the law. However, there is only one rule to follow, named the Golden Rule. This states that once any citizen commits sin, all of the occupants will turn to gold. As this happens, the time loop restarts and you get to keep every piece of information and material objects you collected.

In your quest of trying to decode what exactly “The sin” is, you will get to meet many complex characters. The Forgotten City Mac OS X portrays many different types of stories and arguments from just as different personas. Thus, you will need to carefully weigh your decisions every step of the way. All this combines to create one great mystery adventure-RPG for Mac that will keep you awake for nights on end.
