Dying Light 2 is the announced first-person survival horror game for Mac, developed by Techland and published by Techland Publishing. The title is the sequel to Dying Light, released in 2015, but it features an almost unpublished story and characters. The story indeed focuses on a new and modern “Dark Century” for humanity, which allows the story to convey themes such as betrayal, infidelity, and intrigue. The zombies, instead of being the main enemy as in the last game, become here a narrative device that puts pressure on other non-playable characters to induce interesting drama and themes. Dying Light 2 Mac OS X is therefore configured as a first-person action role-playing game with an apocalyptic zombie open world theme.

Dying Light 2 Mac OS X is mostly melee-based with most of the fighting using melee weapons. Melee weapons have a limited duration and degrade when the player uses them in combat. Long-range weapons such as crossbows, shotguns, and spears can also be used. Weapons can be upgraded with different blueprints and components that can be found by breaking down weapons into craft parts. New zombies have been added. As in Dying Light, these are slow when exposed to sunlight, but become more aggressive and hostile at night.
